The Association \u201cFestival of Cross-Cultures\u201d has decided to create this online platform in an effort to benefit the world of french plein air art and artistsby: increasing their visibility abroad, uniting them and rendering them interactive bringing them together and encouraging exchange. The idea originated from a striking observation: while French plein air painters know one another within their own circles, they remain largely invisible to the outside world: both within France and internationally.\u00a0 Yet plein air painting is a thriving and widespread practice worldwide: both in the West and in the East, and foreign artists and audiences alike are genuinely curious about what is happening on the art scene in France. Therefore we have decided to launch a bilingual website with the welcome page fully in English to target our international audience. It is of course also available in French. What the platform aims to do: to present french plein air painters recognised as such by their peers to progressively introduce our foreign guests, who already painted in France to announce the upcoming plein air events across France and abroad to share a list of artist residencies abroad accessible to french professionals and discerning enthusiasts upon request. Membership carries no obligations towards the association Festival Cultures Crois\u00e9es\u2014 you will not be asked to volunteer or to take on any legal commitment of the Association. The fixed membership cost is 55\u20ac for the year. This membership offers you the exclusive access to all our services and to spaces that are not accessible to non-members, including: listings of all calls for application with the exact date and time of competitions listings of artist residencies in France and abroad related to the plein air practice the full schedules of plein air days suggested by the Members to paint together in various regions of France throughout the year special offers at our partners (accomodation, manufacturers and retailers of fine art equipment and supplies).
