A breath of fresh air in Les Andelys

Since Tuesday, August 24, around thirty artists have been roaming the streets of Les Andelys, looking for the location, the landscape of their dreams. On the initiative of the Cultures Croisés association, the International Outdoor Painting Festival is celebrating its fifth edition here.

For three days, the painters first practiced on the sites imposed by the Festival: La Collégiale Notre Dame du Grand Andelys, the Château Gaillard and the Berges de Seine thus leading to large-format paintings, exhibited until Sunday evening on the Berges de Seine.

Many painters invested the city as well : you will certainly be able to cross them here or there, capturing a scene. Still, others prefer to stay in front of the Seine to portray visitors all weekend. These artists, of all nationalities, practice all techniques for the occasion. They also offer you demonstrations. Do not hesitate to ask them questions: they will be happy to share their passion with you!

The inhabitants of the Andelys or the surrounding area, loyal to the festival or discovering it, show great interest in this show, which is a kiss of life in this period of health crisis.

The artists’ works will be visible online from September 10 online on frenchpleinairpainters.com
